2 out of 5 stars A Practical Disappointment   April 3, 2010
BunSnug (Union, NJ US)
I purchased these a year ago for use when traveling. Initially, I was excited because they seemed to work well at home. However, they are a practical nightmare. The large buttons on each ear piece are very sensitive. As soon as you put them in any kind of case (I have tried at least 10 soft and hard cases) the slightest touch turns them on. Consequently, the battery is depleted by the time you are ready to use them. I have spent a year trying to manage this issue and have decided it is not worth it. There seems to be no way to avoid unintentionally turning these headphones on. Even at home, placing them on a solid surface without extreme attention to orientation results in unwanted activation. I purchased the Jabra iPod connector with these headphones. The few times I was successful in getting them to work, it took 15 minutes to pair the two devices. Once charged and paired, the sound quality was good and the charge lasted for my 5 hour trip. However, they are too unreliable for me to recommend. Look elsewhere, particularly if you need to carry these with you in a purse, suitcase or backpack.

4 out of 5 stars Bought these years ago. Now I finally get to use them!   March 30, 2010
Sierra Chuck (San Francisco)
I bought these probably three years ago and was frustrated with them, or rather my lack of any device to drive them, for the whole time until tonight.

Commenting on another review the other night I pulled these out of a drawer to get the model number for the comment. Of course I plugged them in to give the battery another charge and see if I could make any use of them again.

It turns out the iPhone's 3.0 update added the A2DP stereo Bluetooth connectivity it originally lacked -- meaning, now these headphones work! (or did until they started cutting out just this second!)

They sound pretty good with the iPhone so far. Prior to the iPhone I had a Samsung BlackJack. They sounded HORRIBLE with that. There was no equalizer with the Media Player that was on the phone and the resulting sound from the Jabras was terrible. So far the sound with the iPhone is full and well balanced even with the equalizer turned off.

I think these headphones are very uncomfortable. They make my ears sore after less than hour of wearing them. They are impossible to get comfortable with on a pillow -- the band is just in the way no matter what. And if you turn your head to the side you press the buttons, which are the whole disc.

This was one of the worst purchases in my gadget history, but not so much the fault of product itself. They are uncomfortable though. Not sure about the battery since they've been sitting around a long time. Considering how old these must be now and that I paid at least $15 less than what is being asked here, I think you can do better today. But if you found them sitting in a drawer for two year, then have fun!

4 out of 5 stars Almsot 5 stars   December 28, 2009

You're not getting a set of Sennheiser's here. However, these 'phones seem to surprise me when listening to certain songs. Vocal pieces sound exceptional for a BT set. But as soon as you introduce the drums, bass, guitar and female voice all at once, they start to struggle a little. Any type of major commercial headphones in the $50 range at stores like BestBuy will sound similar to these.

These headphones confuse me because they can't make up their mind when it comes to musical reproduction. Sometimes they're mediocre, sometimes good, and sometimes surprisingly accurate. Every now and then, they're unbelievable. Mostly when it's just a female voice. Great value for money.

I personally find the head band comfortable unlike some other reviewers here. They don't really rest on the ears like other similar sets. Instead, they seem to compress with just enough pressure to keep them against your ears. I could go jogging with these.

Pros:

-Great for vocal/instrumental pieces of music
-Very light-weight for a set of wireless headphones.
-Headset can pause/play/change tracks with the buttons on the sides, as well as answer/end call. There is a built-in microphone in the right earpiece.

Cons:
-They become uncomfortable after around 1.5 hours.
-Blinking blue LED ring on each ear is ridiculous.
-Treble becomes distorted and muddy when pushed even lightly in some songs.

I like 'em.

4 out of 5 stars Must admit it is GREAT!   September 10, 2009
William Pessoa (Tucson, AZ)
I've had this thing for almost 2yrs now. I bought it for my I pod, when the ipods could not do stereo bt so I also bought the little adapter. I really used to hate going to the gym with that like adapter, ipod and the headset (that btw screams.. LOOK AT ME).

I stoped using it because keeping the adapter charged was a big issue... since the software update happened i have started to use it again on my iPhone. I have to say... this products is actually great. I ahve NEVER had any connection issues. The battery lasts FOREVER, and the sound is pretty good for me.

My only complaints are: My head is big so it hurts if you use it for a long while... personally i cannot have it on for more than 90minutes. I use this for working out, the the spongy thing gets wet... so I clean it daily with some type of anti bacterial spray (I hate doing it)...

Other than that everything is great!

I've been thinking of buying a more workout friendly headset but after reading the reviews in the other products I decided to keep this one until it breaks. Kudos Jabra...

3 out of 5 stars Conflict with microware oven frequency But super sound quality   August 10, 2009
Y. Woon (USA)
Excellent Sound quality but conflict with my Panasonic Microware oven frequency. I can't heard any sound whenever I use my microware oven. Again the sound quality is excellent. I own the HP TouchSmart IQ816 computer with HD TV turner. So I can watch HD TV program. I can hear clear water dripping sound and soft wind blowing too. I watch some online movies on [....]. I can hear every sound so clearly.
It also can act as simple remote control, like stop movie (but can't play again, I have to use my handheld remote control to continue play on going movie). I also can skip 10 second forward (or backward) by pressing the "skip" button on the headset. If you computer or software let you set "Dolby Virtual Speaker", "Bolby Surround sound compatible","Tru-SurroundXT", or any Surround sound features. This headset will rock your world. If a car in the movie is driving across yout TV screen. You can feel the car in the movie driving through from you left ear then passing through your Right ear. So cool......
