2 out of 5 stars Charger extremely touchy and won't work easily   September 4, 2009
Anthony L. Gilmore (SF Bay Area, CA)
I love the earpeice. However, the charger is extremely touchy. When you plug the ear bud into the charger, a red charging light should appear. It takes more than 3 times to get the lite to come on. I don't think its making a good connection. It will charge-eventually, but only after having played around with it to get it to connect. HUGE URRGGHHH.

Product works perfectly and the seller shipped the product extremely quickly. All in all, a perfect experience.

3 out of 5 stars Great Headset; Terrible Charger   February 21, 2009
    A. Diamant (Oakland, CA)
I really like this headset because it is very comfortable and you can hear well in very loud places like airports and in the car. It has very effective noise cancelling technology. Others tell me that they can hear me well when I talk from noisy places. That being said, the 120 volt charging unit for the wall socket charge for this unit is just terribe. I've owned two units and I'm about to buy the third because I like the fit so much; but, on both of my previous headsets the unit stopped charging effetively after about 6 months of use. The base where the plug from the wall connects just stopped working properly. Others have reported a similar problem here and elsewhere. One of the other good features about this unit is that it has an interchangeable charging unit that allows you to charge the unit via a wall socket or with a AAA battery. This has saved me on several occassions when I didn't have a wall socket handy and it has allowed me to continue to use my "broken" headsets after the main charging unit no longer worked.

4 out of 5 stars Not bad   December 19, 2008
    TCB (Augusta, GA USA)
This is my first headset, I've had it about a month and I don't have too many complaints about it. I read all the comments and reviews before purchasing this item so I was aware of the situations people were having with the headset so I've kept all of it in mind. I haven't experienced any problems with the charging or the charging adaptor, I've used my battery charger twice and I haven't had any problems with it, I don't have any problems with the headset losing connection, no one's complained about me sounding like I'm on speaker phone, and I don't have any trouble with the headset staying in my ear. However, as other reviewers have noted, I can't travel too far from my phone without getting a severe amount of static (I have to stay within maybe 3 or 4 feet of my phone), the noise cancelling feature is close to non-existent, and although I haven't had any problems with my charger, I would prefer it to be a direct connection rather than an adaptor (personally, this is just an extra piece for me to keep up with). I can't comment on the voice dialing feature because I haven't attempted to use it but all in all this headset serves it's purpose. I would purchase again and if you're looking for something to hold you over, this definitely does that.

2 out of 5 stars Palm Headset Dissapointing   November 11, 2008
    JHP
I have a Treo 650, and wanted a headset that paired easily, didn't lose the connection constantly, and had good sound quality. Considering that this is made by Palm for the Treo, I assumed it would be the best choice. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The cool-looking metal case is basically a throw-away, the piece that the headset must fit into for charging is just another small piece that can be easily lost (why can't you just plug a charger directly into the headset??), and the bluetooth pairing is constantly dropping.
It is relatively easy to use, comfortable, and the sound quality is ok - though not that impressive. The rubber earpiece is constantly falling off as well.
For the price I guess it's not a bad option, but if this is the best Palm can do I'm pretty underwhelmed.
I guess this goes in-line with the Treo itself in my opinion...underwhelming.
